why I left Waubay

 some of these babies were nearly a foot long as you can see from this photo
(kidding a little)
but I did not want to be out any longer than necessary to get a few shots

 you can see some of them near the top of this photo above the Yellow-headed Blackbird

 although I did not get a shot of it, this YHB was catching some of the bugs just standing on top of this post

 

the only escape was to climb this observation tower
or to stay in the car
