It was nearing 8 a.m., yet below freezing. I kept switching hands on my metal tripod since I didn't think to wear gloves. Note the frost on the branches by the Song Sparrow. It was apparently too cold to sing. I heard more of them, however, later in the morning when I ran into Kevin Krueger.
