melting snow
This morning there was a herd (more than a bunch, less than a flock) of Juncos under my feeders when I got up. A light blanket of snow from last night covered the driveway. By the time I had made coffee, the snow was melting from the morning sun and the driveway was almost clear.
Work kept me from going birding on this nice, sunny day until the late afternoon. By the time I got to Wargo, it was too late to go in (they close at 4:30 p.m. most weekdays) so all I could do was to check out the Osprey platform I had been watching (see below).
If tomorrow is sunny, I'll probably head to Springbrook Nature Center and see what's new there.
